“Bunch of Dogs” – Kendrick Perkins Rides High on Anthony Edwards’ Hype as he Makes Bold Prediction for the Timberwolves

The NBA fever is at its peak. The Minnesota Timberwolves played their first game against the Denver Nuggets, defeating them by a margin of 106-99. But this is just the start of the conference semi-finals. They have six games left and who knows if the Nuggets can come out on top in the remaining games and oust the Timberwolves. However, one person doesn’t think so.
Retired Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins opines that the Timberwolves will win the series and advance to the conference finals. “I’mma tell you this that the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to the NBA Finals. I know that much as long as they’re healthy. That wasn’t a fluke what we saw last night. This is who they’ve been all season long – a bunch of dogs, some nasty wolves led by Anthony Edwards who is a killer,” Perkins stated.
Notably guard Anthony Edwards basketed a whopping 43 points in the game with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He was the highest scorer for the match and had a playoff career-high along with making a postseason record for the 35-year-old franchise. And Perkins just seems to be appreciating Edwards and it might be this performance that makes him think that the once-indomitable Nikola Jokic can be defeated. However, it was not only Edwards but the team came together as a whole.

Kendrick Perkins pins hopes on Anthony Edward & Co. after their scintillating win
Edwards was well supported by forward Karl-Anthony Towns, guard Nike Conley Jr., and power forward Naz Reid. While Towns potted 20 points, Conley Jr. thrashed out 14 points. Meanwhile, Reid decimated 16. The credit should also go to center Rudy Gobert for putting up a wall and nabbing 13 rebounds. Thus, the Timberwolves really proved their mettle and came out on top.
While the Nuggets dominated in the first half with 25 and 19 on the board as opposed to the Timberwolves’ 23 and 17, the next two quarters saw a dominant display by the Timberwolves who smashed 33 points in each quarter, while restricting their opponents to 27 and 28. Thus, the match eventually went in the Timberwolves’ favor with a 106-99 margin. After Edward & Co. have shown their mettle, the Nuggets will have to fight against all odds to come back on top.
