It’s been three years since the world tragically lost one of the biggest names in basketball. The legacy left behind by Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is still remembered amongst his fans and NBA enthusiasts around the world. Though Kobe never played college ball, his legacy has found its ways into the halls of a winning collegiate team. In fact, it’s the university that his former running mate Shaquille O’Neal played for. Recently, LSU star Angel Reese signed on to commemorate Kobe as well.

The news was made public by Vanessa Bryant through an Instagram post.

The collaboration with LSU and the other college teams comes as part of an initiative by the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation to promote the latest set of shoes that Nike has brought out to celebrate 20 years with the Black Mamba. The shoes are not only honoring the Lakers star but also his daughter. Gianna also lost her life in the tragic helicopter crash in 2020.
