Close to a month ago, Gilbert Arenas and his family suffered massive distress. His son was involved in an accident and needed help from the bystanders to escape from his vehicle. Later, Alijah Arenas was admitted to the hospital and put in an induced coma since his lungs were full of smoke. Now, he is doing much better and is reportedly already looking out for his future, and in fact, has signed up with Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports. But the aftereffects of the crash are beginning to set in; since there was no alcohol or any substance found to be responsible for the accident, fans have seemingly found the culprit.
Elon Musk has now come under scrutiny, as the 18-year-old was driving a Cybertruck registered in the name of Agent Zero. The Cybertruck crashed into a fire hydrant and then a tree in Reseda, a neighborhood in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley. During his appearance on Matt Barnes’ podcast, Gilbert Arenas shared the reason for the crash.
“Long story short is you know the car you know malfunctioned on him. Control, the steering wheel went limp, ran right into a tree.” That’s certainly not what anyone wants to hear about an automobile whose cost ranges from $60,990 to $99,990. But this was not the only update that the ex-Warriors star shared about his son’s crash.

Turns out, Arenas Jr. even tried to break the window glass himself, but couldn’t. “He couldn’t break the window, start doing all the back search on the car… I know he was at least in the car for ten minutes… If you’re a parent and your teen has this car, you might want to put a hammer in that joint, something that can break the window. Because physically not strong enough, you know, he said he was trying to kick the window and he couldn’t,” reported Gilbert.

That’s why he needed help from bystanders to break the window, who eventually dragged him away from the scene of the incident. In a post from The Jasmine Brand which shared a clip from the podcast, the fans sentiment exploded.

Fans think Gilbert Arenas will win the lawsuit
One fan added a comment, “Those cars are not safe – they should file a lawsuit.” Many in the comments section of the Instagram post agreed to this sentiment.
According to Tesla’s website, the Cybertruck is “Designed to Be the Safest Truck on the Road.” The company backs these claims with features like low center of gravity, top crash-test ratings, and standard features like Active Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning. Yet, the car caught on fire with Alijah Arenas needing help to escape. So, a netizen commented, backing Gil to win. “Long story short they about to get paid millions of dollars from Tesla.”
Gilbert Arenas also added that he has done his own investigation, like any father would. “I seen that you know when people like ‘Oh he fell asleep.’ I’m looking at he’s on the phone right. He’s on the phone with 911, I’m trying to get that call. He was on the phone with them for 10 minutes.” Agent Zero added that if people are claiming that his son was asleep are completely wrong. He is trying to call the authorities to get logs about the call. So, a fan simply added, “Tesla is not beating the allegations.😐 Glad he’s ok.”

The car also claims to have a 5-star crash safety rating from NHTSA. Plus, the glass is unbreakable and makes it tough in a rescue. That’s why Gil’s words resonated with a fan. “No teen should have “this car”.” Since police reports also claim no substance abuse was involved, the sentiment was in favor of Alijah Arenas and against Elon Musk, which one fan emphatically declaring: “Lawsuit…..period!!”
However, despite the recent developments, there is no update about the former NBA star filing for a lawsuit yet.
