Gabrielle Union reflects on her deep wound

Recently, Gabrielle Union played the role of a mother who kicks her son out of the house once she comes to know her son might be queer. Union said, “She was full of rage, and she couldn’t direct it at the institution because she had dug in, so she directed it at her child because she got sold a bill of goods. Oh, you found the wound. Welcome. And then it started to fester and grow like a f*****g cancer.” 

Union revealed that her homophobic character went through a transformational journey in the movie. It’s rather inspiring to witness Union taking part in movies which might have a positive impact on the society in general.
