Trivialize it all you want; Kim Kardashian is getting that law degree and applying it to do good. No one acknowledges the utility of her law degree more than La La Anthony. Carmelo Anthony’s ex has dedicated her time to rehabilitating incarcerated youth through her nonprofit, ThreeSixty. And future lawyer Kardashian is also a prison reform activist. Together, they’re helping integrate well-rounded individuals into the community.

La La couldn’t be more grateful for Kim K’s support. “She’s my best friend, so it’s great to have a better friend that you can bounce ideas off of or say, ‘What do you think about this?’” ThreeSixty provides legal advice wherever needed, along with mentorship and leadership programs. Kardashian is La La’s best resource in that regard. “Or even just, ‘What does the law say when it comes to this?’ Because she’s studying to be a lawyer, so it’s great to say, ‘Hey, what does the law say in this situation? Or what would you do here?'”

Both reality stars and business moguls have a lot on their plates. While Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife is in the thick of Starz’s BMF season 3 and Kardashian has her global empire like SKIMS, which’s an official NBA partner, both are passionate about bringing reform to criminal justice. La La works with youth in the 18- to 21-year-old age group incarcerated at Rikers Island.

Kardashian passed the ‘baby bar’ for first-year law students and is dedicated to becoming a lawyer like her late father, Robert Kardashian. She’s also highlighted stories of allegedly wrongfully convicted individuals, helped many cases get revisited, and had harsher sentences commuted.

Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife, La La appreciates having an activist like that supporting her cause. “I mean, it’s a great thing to talk about and have someone in my corner in that way.” She further added, “and I admire all the amazing things that she’s done, and she has just provided so much support to ThreeSixty as well.” And La La will take all the help for this cause.

La La Anthony’s biggest inspiration is her son

Previously, La La expressed that not many people understand what she and Kardashian do. She’s trying to change the dismissive attitude towards the young inmates so they’ll be better members of society. Being the mother of 17-year-old Kiyan, she feels a degree of compassion for these kids. She also knows these delinquents have had worse home and family situations than Kiyan.

She sought to fill that void and provide better opportunities. She’s even seeing the fruits of her work in mentees, like one former convict who got a full-ride scholarship to Columbia within a year of ThreeSixty’s mentorship.
