According to reports from the EuroLeague, this forced Tony to make the decision to remove the coach so as to send an “electric shock” among the players. He wants this move to change the culture of the team. Now they are looking to sign Gordon Herbert as the next head coach.

Parker could not keep Wembanyama on ASVEL

Victor Wembanyama signed with ASVEL in 2021. He played one season with the team before deciding to opt out of the contract. Wemby did not have a good time on the team. He was constantly injured and played limited minutes on the team.

Tony Parker, towards the end of the season, mentioned that Wembanyama did not improve much that season. Wembanyama disagreed and said that he believed he had done well in a new role. Even after Parker tried to convince him to stay, the following year he joined the Metropolitans 92 in France.
