The NCAA viewership might have escalated with Charles Barkley in the broadcast as the famous TNT host has brought out his hilarious side too many times in it. CBS Sports, who roped in the Philadelphia 76ers legend, have smartly used him to market the NCAA tournament. Well, that involves sending out a blimp into the sky ahead of the Final Four, which is set to take place in a few weeks.

Ernie Johnson announced on CBS, “There is an actual ‘Capital One’ Chuck blimp…The Chuck blimp was launched from Nashville earlier this week, and it is making its way to Phoenix for the Final Four.” Barkley, who was in disbelief at this gesture, couldn’t control his laughter on live TV. Interestingly, Barkley has been on a blimp before too.
The 1993 MVP shared, “I have actually been on the blimp before…I have enjoyed it.”, when questioned by Kenny Smith. The Sixers icon was in awe of this hilarious tribute and thanked the $53.69 billion worth Capital One for sending him to the sky. Well, let’s see if the blimp can make it to Phoenix in one piece! But before that, it looks like this tribute turned into a bad luck for a famous NBA team.

Kenny Smith points out Memphis upset to pin the blame on Charles Barkley
Johnson mentioned, “The blimp actually spent some time hovering over Memphis this week, during early round tournament action”. Smith shouted, “That is why there was so many upsets in Memphis”. However, in reality, there were no upsets in the games that were hosted by the FedEx Forum. Smith stated that just to take a jab at Barkley. However, there was definitely an upset in the NBA.

The Grizzlies who faced the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings, and the Golden State Warriors, faced three back-to-back losses. Although only one game was played at the FedEx Forum, it was still a bad week for Grizzlies basketball. The next destination for the Barkley blimp is at Phoenix, where the Final Four is set to happen. Do you think there will be some upsets in the Final Four as well?
