While the former MVP follows the same tradition, he appears judgmental towards the young quarterback.

Was Charles Barkley irked by Patrick Mahommes? old game habit?

To mark the 100th episode of their podcast, Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson were joined by a special guest for the celebration. After congratulating the duo, the ?Inside the NBA? producer Tim Kiely spoke about the recent revelation made by Patrick Mahomes in the Manning cast.?

Speaking of the Kansas City Chiefs star, Kiely shared Mahomes? dirty game tradition. “Patrick Mahomes admitted that he wears the same pair of underwear every single game of his career. And he only washes it when he loses,” revealed Kiely. Both Barkley and Johnson expressed their amazement upon hearing this strange ritual.

However, while Sir Charles openly judged the 2x Super Bowl MVP, he also admitted to being guilty of a similar feat.

The Philadelphia 76ers legend added, ?He gotta be a funky dude then because they don’t lose that often. Pat got to be not minty fresh. Why wouldn’t you- you got to wash your drawers? Not that I have any.??

Ernie Johnson begrudgingly added, “Yeah, I know,”?to Barkley’s commando confession. Yes, the 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist has stopped wearing underwear for decades already. ?They weren?t comfortable. So I burned them, like, 20 years ago,”?he confessed previously on ‘The Steam Room’.

Mahomes’ game tradition is so strange that some might not even believe it. However, the player himself admitted to it.

During the interview with NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, the Super Bowl champion admitted following the ritual of wearing the same undergarment for every game since the beginning of his career.

This pair holds even more significance since it was presented to him by his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes revealed that he washes the pair of red underwear only when he loses them. However, as Barkley observed previously in the show, that kind of mistake is rare to happen.?

Regardless , it seems Mahomes has his faith in the tradition. He said, I only wear them for gameday, though, so they’re not too worn down. They’re not these nasty, I clean them.”?
