Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair finds himself in a devastating period of life. He has left everyone shaken by announcing the untimely passing of his stepson, Sebastian Kidder, aged 24, on October 26. Flair and his ex-wife, Wendy Barlow, shared the sad news with the public through a statement to TMZ. As both struggle with this heartbreaking loss, NBA legend Charles Barkley extended his condolences to the family on Inside the NBA.

During the segment, Barkley took a moment to show his support. “I want to give a shout-out to two of my favorite people, Ric Flair and his wife, Wendy. I love you guys, and hang in there. That’s all I can say. I love you guys, Wendy and Ric Flair,” Barkley said. 

Kidder passed away by suicide at their family home in Georgia. A rising music star, he had been in the entertainment industry from a young age, appearing in The Walking Dead when he was just 10. He credited his mother for helping him secure the role.

Now, Kidder was making his mark in music. He recently released his debut album, Under the Moon, and appeared on Good Day Atlanta to discuss his latest work.  Speaking of his work, he had said, “I fell in love with it, and here I am. I think it comes down to a unique work ethic. … You have to really have that drive. I hate to say it, but this has gotta be your one aim. You have to let go of everything else and make this your whole world.“

But, things have taken an unexpected turn. Flair finds himself facing the loss of a child once again. In 2013, he had lost the 25-year-old son Reid Flair that he had with his ex-wife Elizabeth. Now, he finds himself surrounded by grief yet again. To express the same, Flair recently made a social media and post.

In the deeply emotional tribute to Sebastian, Flair recalled the special bond they shared and the memories they had made over the years. He wrote, “I’m so thankful for the time I had with Sebastian. I have so many great memories & bonding time with him as he grew up!” He continued, “He stood tall by his mother along with the whole family—Sophia, Paris, and Summer—while I was dying. He was so unselfish, sharing his mother with me as I was dying. And also, at the passing of my son Reid. He was multi-talented & in everybody’s eyes a huge success and will always be remembered that way.”

Flair’s bond with Sebastian was marked by deep support, especially as Sebastian pursued a music career. Flair proudly promoted his stepson’s first album, sharing online, “Congratulations @sebastianonthemic on the release of your first music video.” His words reflected his pride and dedication as a father figure.

Although Flair and Barlow were married for 13 years before their separation, his connection with Sebastian remained strong. Reflecting on their time together, Flair expressed gratitude for their shared memories.

Now, as the family navigates this difficult loss, Flair’s heartfelt tribute stands as a testament to Sebastian’s profound impact on those around him. We extend our deepest condolences to the family during this time of grief.
