Charles Barkley‘s one bad habit was recently exposed. Sir Charles is doing a press run for his new show with Gayle King, King Charles. During their recent stop on the Stephen Colbert show, the duo played a Pop Quiz where several of their hot takes, habits, good or bad were revealed.

Barkley is known for his no-nonsense demeanor. He calls it like he sees it and does only what he wants to do. However, that seems to be a problem with some people, including his co-host and his daughter.

Charles Barkley’s bad habit gets exposed during a Pop Quiz

The question, “Who is worse at responding to text messages?” was asked to the King Charles hosts. While Sir Charles took the honesty route and admitted that he’s horrible at responding to texts, Gayle had something else to add to it. Her answer was also the same, but on top of it, she said, “He doesn’t respond.” Barkley didn’t shy away from adding further context to the blame being put on him either. He said, “Gayle doesn’t realize that when you’re playing golf, you can’t have your phone on. It lasts 5 hours”.

She said that initially she was confused by Sir Charles not responding to her text messages. However, once she met his daughter and she narrated a similar story, Gayle understood that this habit was embedded in Barkley. She said, “I would be offended if I thought I was the only one but his own daughter told me that he doesn’t respond to her in a timely manner, so I felt better about that.” Now a case can be made for Sir Charles because he is not the most technically proficient person, but not responding to his daughter’s texts as well has led to him being exposed.

There was another doubt in Gayle’s mind, and she used this opportunity to clear that out. She doubted if Barkley had given her the correct number. She asked, “Do I have the right phone number, or do I have the okie doke number?” Sir Charles almost got offended by the question and responded with, “You have the real phone number. Because I have responded, right?”

Barkley then told on himself by letting up that he does have an Okie Doke phone and he uses it for those people he doesn’t want to entertain. So, if you happen to have his number, make sure he gave you the real one.
