Charles Barkley strikes a unique note during Christmas karaoke

Sir Charles has the most unique approach to singing karaoke songs. He doesn’t focus as much on matching the tune. Instead, Barkley sings for an audience of one – himself. And he certainly had the best time while singing his Christmas song. Unfortunately, the same thing can’t be said for his co-hosts and fans.

Instead of singing with rhythm, the former NBA MVP went on to read the karaoke lyrics to his listeners. Ernie Johnson, who anticipated it to some extent, couldn’t resist interrupting Barkley to ask if he could try catching up with the tune. The newly-crowned Sports Broadcasting Hall of Famer asked, “Hold it, You wanna go with the music?”

From statements like “Tragic” to requests like “Please stop this,” it seems that the Chuckster has gone Grinch-mode and stolen the Christmas joy from more than a few fans.

“Frosty the Snowman” is a song older than Charles Barkley himself. And one of the carol’s many fans could only imagine how the snowman would feel upon hear Chuck’s rendition. “Frosty disappointed rn.”

Since 1950, the jingle has been a staple of the festive season. But maybe not for much longer. Another listener pleaded, “Crap. Just let the snowman melt at this point.
