Choked by Draymond Green After Rudy Gobert’s ‘Rescue’ Attempt, 7x NBA Champ Dissects Nasty Brawl With 1 Advice

In a recent NBA game, GSW star Draymond Green got into a nasty scuffle with against the Minnesota Timberwolves Center Rudy Gobert. The heated confrontation turned physical in the ‘blink of an eye’ after Rudy Gobert’s attempt to ‘rescue’ one of his teammates.

This is not the first time Draymond Green has been in a physical altercation. In a recent podcast, a 7x NBA champion talks about the nasty brawl and gives one piece of advice to NBA players.

7x NBA Champion’s 1 Advice

In an episode of the “Big Shot Bob Podcast”, 7x NBA champ Robert Horry dissects the physical brawl that took place in the recent Timberwolves-Warriors game. Robert Horry gives one piece of advice regarding a physical altercation in an NBA game. He states, “I always think about Rudy T.…you don’t grab another player. You grab someone from your team.” He further explained, “It’s the weirdest thing. Guys always love to grab the other guy from the other team. Like no, you protect your player and get him out of the ruckus.

Horry then explains that Draymond assumed in a split-second that Gobert was ‘attacking’ his teammate so Draymond ‘attacked’ him. The 7x NBA champion says, “I think at the moment, everyone was saying that he(Gobert) had Klay around the neck.” However, Horry clarifies that nobody had Klay Thompson by the neck.

Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr also address Draymond’s actions in an interview. They also talk about the five-game suspension he received for his involvement in the nasty brawl.

Steve Kerr gave his take on the physical altercation that took place. The GSW coach says, “He (Draymond) hung on for 6-7 seconds. It was a terrible visual for the league, for Draymond, for everybody. Draymond was wrong, he knows that. It was a bad look. The five games were deserved and we move forward.” Stephen Curry also addressed the physical altercation in a post-game press conference. The 4x NBA champion brushed past the incident and stated that the Warriors team will always protect its players.

This is not the first time that Draymond Green has gotten into a physical altercation with another player. However, in this particular incident, Draymond Green was standing up for his teammate but took it one step too far.
