Shaq has this lovable big-hearted personality. He is often called by many the life of the party. Since retiring from basketball, Shaquille O’Neal has taken up roles that highlight his funny side. But what happens when a comedian takes away that spot from Shaq?

Recently on The Big Podcast, comedian Bert Kreischer was a special guest. They discussed the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson summer showdown, the Jalen Green controversy, and other projects that the two could collaborate on in the future. The first thing Shaq did was to apologize to Kreischer. He said sorry that he couldn’t recall him by his name but knew who he was by his work. Shaq even acknowledged that Kreischer was a funny guy. But that didn’t stop Shaq from questioning the comedian being number 1 by Rolling Stone.

Shaq asked, “did Rolling Stone really name you the number one party guy?” The 51-year-old replied yes, which Shaq was not ready to accept, and grilled him on what was the criteria for being number 1. Kreischer gave credit to Shaq and the Orlando Magic. According to him the players made the entire city have fun.

In 1997, Rolling Stone named him “the top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country.” Kreischer was at the time attending the Florida State University.

The common bond between Shaquille O’Neal and Kreischer

During the entire 55-minute podcast, Shaq and Kreischer seem to find common ground on a lot of things. Adam Lefkoe, cohost of the podcast, pointed out how both have them meet a lot of business executives but they don’t seem to change much of their personality. Shaq explained how it was Snoop Dog who made him realize that one shouldn’t change in front of others. He says, “I saw Snoop talking how he talks, doing what he do, and shaking people hands and they’re loving them, and I’m like, what is going on, like I thought that was the part, that where you had to hide in doing the back he’s doing it on stage during the roast.”
