Gabrielle Union uncovered the ‘guinea pig’ of their project

Both Wade and Gab were actively involved in the creation of the brand. With a curated team of dermatologists and experts, the couple wanted to create products that celebrate the children with color. Together with the team, they have continuously pushed envelopes to sustainably craft their products.

During the conversation, the mother of three revealed how she had to test some products on her daughter as well. Speaking of her daughter, she explained that Kaavia was her “Guinea Pig”. She further told the Daily Mail, “Testing out the sprays, like the lavender room spray, she was like ‘Oh, this is nice.” She tried out some products on her daughter to ensure that these were safe for her and every melanated skin.

In the event, the champion opted for a simple sweater, while Gabrielle stood out in a stunning red jacket worn over her sleek black outfit. Both of them joined the host on the stage to share their insights with the audience.

The couple spoke about the offerings as well as about the aims of the brand. Moreover, the 51-year-old actress also described how her daughter is the inspiration behind this venture. The parents felt the need to launch their brand as they struggled to find the right product for the 4-year-old. 

The ‘Bring it on’ actress shared, “Trying to find products was like searching for a needle in a haystack…we were kind of cobbling together obscure products that were very hard to find.” While it is Wade and Union who run the business, the contributions of Kaavia can’t be understated.
