Kevin Garnett is one of those who never hesitates to give credit to his predecessors. Even when Anthony Edwards sparked the “skilled” debate, claiming that only Michael Jordan was skilled in the previous generation, KG was quick to disagree. “I don’t think anybody in this generation could’ve played 20 years ago.” Recently, the 15-time All-Star paid tribute to another former player he faced multiple times on the hardwood—the former Supersonics superstar, who tragically suffered a loss just days ago.

SHAWN MFN KEMP 🫡💯😤🤝💯.. ONE OF THOSE ONE’S.. salute king👑@therealshawnkemp40.” The former NBA Champion shared the highlights of Shawn Kemp dunking during his career. And previously during one of the interviews, KG also called Kemp his “favorite dunker.” Seeing the highlights, very few will disagree with Garnett’s comments. However, the past few days have been trouble for 6x NBA All-Star.

A few days ago, his Canna–s store was broken into. It is located in an old bank branch in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood and happened during the early hours at 6:15 a.m. In the video footage, it is seen that the burglar used an axe to break into Kemp’s business place. Naturally, the former Power Forward was not happy about the entire situation and appealed to the general public.

We’re hoping that somebody out here in the community can come and give us some information and support the story. If they see some of our products or sell or anything like that, please get a hold of us or the state.” The burglar not only took some cash but came back again and took some merchandise. That’s why Kemp made an appeal during his interview with KOMO News.

The Reign Man who once mesmerized the league and the fans with his dunks is having a tough time. Maybe that is why KG shared the post to remind everyone of Kemp’s highlights.

Kevin Garnett explained why Kemp was his favorite dunker

Shawn Kemp was also part of the All-Star team when The Big Ticket made his debut in 1997. Post that KG would go on to make 14 more such appearances. But at the time after Magic Johnson in 1980, he was the youngest to make an All-Star debut. Which even Kemp mentioned in an old video. “Youngest man since Magic Johnson to make an All-Star team, Kevin Garnett.”

After that in 2002, Garnett answered why Kemp was the best dunker of all time in the NBA. “Shawn Kemp is probably the all-time nasties dunker in the NBA. I give it to Shawn Kemp. In traffic by the body and then putting antics on them, you know, because the antics are what make a dunk. You know, when you dunk a ball and you run down the court, you know we gotta put some antics.”

Since the Supersonics’ star was KG’s favorite, he posted the reel on his story. To remind everyone about the dazzling displays of the Reign Man during his prime. And now more than ever, Kemp needs the love from the fans as he recovers from the break-in suffered in the business.
