You can never predict when a seemingly insignificant moment will become an unforgettable embarrassment. Especially when it starts with a little trash talk and ends with an unexpected highlight that sets the internet on fire. That’s exactly what happened recently when former NBA champ and Big3 coach Nick Young decided to get loose in a casual 1v1 warm-up. What should’ve been a quick shoot-around turned into something no one saw coming, and it left fans stunned, laughing, and maybe a little confused.
The setting? Just a fun pregame moment with cameras rolling and players stretching. Nick Young, the Swaggy P, was going up against Wallo, a popular YouTuber and personality who’s better known for his motivational energy than his hoop game. At first, it looked like a friendly challenge…something light for social media. But then Wallo hit a move that turned heads, stunned Nick Young, and set the tone for what’s now being called “the moment Nick got cooked.”
Amid all the fun, Wallo hit Nick Young with a slick fake, stepped back, and buried a three right in front of him. Nick froze. Wallo didn’t hold back. “Alright, I k***** his s***, you done Nick, you done bro, chop that up for me,” Wallo shouted, pointing to the cameras, all giggles. Nick Young could only shake his head and laugh, saying, “That’s crazy,” as Wallo walked off hyped, adding, “You going to big screen, man?” As the moment settled in, Wallo looked at a player on the sidelines, and guess what happened next?

He shouted, “I just cooked Nick Young!” And the response? The athlete laughed, “Never has this happened in your life, right?” Wallo, still high off the moment, replied, “No, it’s done… it’s over… doesn’t matter.” And it didn’t stop there. “I’m supposed to play his part in the league,” Wallo said, calling out for his clip as evidence. But in true Nick Young fashion, Nick got the ball back and did what he does best. He hit Wallo with the same move and hit a three of his own.
“That’s easy, that’s easy,” he said, grinning as the crowd laughed. It was redemption, but the damage was done, Nick got humbled on camera, and Wallo now has bragging rights for life. Even Nick Young had to give it up: “I gotta give you credit, the game was better than what I had seen on Instagram.”

This humiliation comes just days after Nick Young made a small taunt at his fellow teammate Jeff Teague. You will be surprised and what happened after that, and who’s the special captain on the team?

Laugh, mockery takes center stage amid Howard-Young Big 3 discussion
Now here’s where it gets even more interesting. Just weeks before this moment, Nick Young, the coach of the LA Riot in the Big3, had been poking fun at new teammate Jeff Teague during a lighthearted interview with Dwight Howard. “I feel bad for Jeff, not Shedeur,” Nick joked, after mixing up draft picks. Dwight chimed in too, laughing, “Jeff is an amazing player… great scorer, great point guard.” It was all jokes, but now Nick Young might be hoping Teague brings that energy to cover up some of his recent losses!
Dwight Howard, who just entered the Hall of Fame, is taking this Big3 season seriously. “I can’t wait to join the LA Riot and try to bring another championship to the city of LA,” he said. He’ll be coached by none other than Nick Young and makes his debut on June 14 at the Allstate Arena. And just to turn up the heat even more, Howard brought along none other than Robert Horry to train with — yes, Big Shot Rob himself!

Ice Cube, founder of the Big3, loved the Jeff Teague pick, too. “That’s a dynamic pick and roll right there,” Cube said, praising Teague’s quickness and playmaking. And now, with Dwight and Jeff both on board, LA looks stacked and ready to compete. Just maybe… Coach Swaggy P should avoid any more 1v1 warmups on camera for now!
With the Big 3 coming next month, it seems to be a perfect time for Nick Young to take things to another level, as this time his captain is way more serious. Dwight is looking for one last title for the city he loved, and along with Jeff Teague, he will be firing the engines to take LA to glory.
