Just when we thought Dennis Rodman’s troubles were behind him, The Worm is in murky waters again. Rodman has had court dates in the past for a variety of reasons. Some of his past incidents include missing child support payments and he was also the victim recently as a fake financial adviser stole millions from him and other professional athletes. Now, reports surfaced that Rodman is facing a $1 million lawsuit for causing an injury.

The woman suing him alleged that Rodman slammed the door on her hand during an incident in his Houston home. The episode reportedly caused a severe injury to her hand. Rodman’s camp hasn’t made an official statement. But a call to a phone number associated with Rodman’s Texas address was answered by a woman. The unidentified rep told the media the allegations were a “money grab.”

The plaintiff, identified as one Taylor A Banks, was allegedly hired as Rodman’s personal assistant and an artist to his family as per the lawsuit. However, the responder on behalf of Rodman said that she never worked for him. “She wanted to paint a picture of him,” this person said.

The suit was filed at a state courthouse in Houston on Thursday. Banks’ lawyer previously represented the plaintiffs who had sued the NFL quarterback, Deshaun Watson, among other major cases. Her lawyer has a history of settling outside court.

Though Rodman’s unofficial representative said Banks didn’t work for him, her lawsuit said otherwise. She alleged that the NBA legend invited her to live at his home and work for his family. The plaintiff described the work environment as tense.

She alleged that Rodman “repeatedly berated” her and woke her up at odd hours of the night, screaming obscenities and ranting. She claims he acted like a “madman” without provocation. “Ultimately,” the filings stated, “Rodman, in an impaired stupor, physically assaulted Banks by slamming her hand in a door.”

Banks allegedly has permanent nerve damage from the incident. She’s seeking $1 million in damages to cover what the lawsuit describes are lost career opportunities. It also includes losses incurred to replace personal belongings that Rodman took from Banks. The listed items include a drafting table, art supplies, oil paintings, and a laptop.

Rodman has had a date with the court on multiple occasions in the past. His wild history is also the reason he was estranged from most of his kids, including soccer star, Trinity Rodman. They’ve recently repaired their relationship but at a slow pace.

Experience with legal drama doesn’t count for anything. Rodman and his girlfriend, Yella Yella, have been enjoying some public outings like attending Chris Chelios’ jersey retirement in the past month. Only an official statement from his camp will clarify this latest lawsuit situation.
