“His dresses doesn’t bother me, his hair doesn’t bother me,”  a vocal and supportive Michael Jordan once spoke of his teammate Dennis Rodman. The eccentric life choices brought a lot of chatter about the 5x NBA Champion. Yet, he was unfazed even when the Commissioner warned him from adding further ink to his body. But Rodman went ahead and got a tattoo the same night. Because of his unabashed sense of style, he continues to be a fashion icon. And now, he clenched a collaboration deal for the same reason, reuniting with this brand.

“NBA Legend Dennis Rodman is back with @mooseknucklescanada for its Fall/Winter 2024 campaign 🔥🏀.” Complex Sports on Instagram gave an update about the partnership between the NBA legend and Moose Knuckles. The Canadian brand and ‘The Worm’ first worked on a project back in 2019. And now they are back again. Even the new Global Creative Director couldn’t stop praising Rodman.

“The FW24 collection represents a synthesis of luxe and rebellion, attributes that Dennis embodies naturally.” Carlos Nazario, Global Artistic Director, spoke to ‘ESSENCE’. “His fearless spirit and iconic status have infused an additional layer of depth and dynamism into this collection.”

Currently, the company has an annual revenue of more than $100 million. Moose Knuckles has a reputation for producing the leanest, toughest, and most luxurious sportswear. The leanest and toughest could be used to define Dennis Rodman as well for his defensive tenacity on the floor. Interestingly, he also had a low haircut dyed into the pattern of the brand’s logo in bright blue, with the rest of his hair dyed a variety of pink, blue, and purple shades for the shoot.

Even though his style statement was questioned by many in the beginning, now they know better. His mother who passed away recently, was one of the supporters even back then.

Shirley Rodman, in an old interview, visited to watch her son play for the Bulls for the first time. She was grateful for the support from the ‘Chi-Town’ and also showed support for her son. “I think if that’s what he wants to do, it is wonderful with me. Look at mine,” she pointed out her own hairdo and backed Dennis Rodman and his style.

The 2x DPOY is not at all shy when it comes to flaunting his tattoo. Last year, he even got his girlfriend’s face inked, not once but twice. One on his cheek and the other on his left upper hip. Even adding a cheeky caption, “Always By My Side 😮🤭.”

From his interviews with Oprah Winfrey to his social media, Dennis Rodman has always spoken about his struggles. Never afraid to admit his mistakes. Even the Commissioner’s warning couldn’t get him to change his decision. That’s why those style choices are not just fashion statements but a summary of his journey.
