“Man, I don’t care about… Not to be rude—I don’t care about no f—ing money. It’s not about that. I’ve saved up enough money.” In 2017,  Derrick Rose clarified that he was never chasing monetary gains. After a sudden retirement announcement 2 months ago, it feels the Bulls legend is content with the decision. Recently, he even came up with a long post on social media to motivate others and promote a brand which he had done previously.

Lost a few people that I thought I had hella time with…” The carousel post from D-Rose had 3 slides, the first from the photoshoot with the brand ‘Fear of God’ while the last slide featured him hooping with his kids. They never leave you tho becuz we not the physical, anyway. I’m always gon be optimistic as long as I got my f–kin breath. It’s only right that I turn the f–k up.” Derrick Rose also received praise from Jerry Lorenzon,  the founder of the aforementioned brand. Lorenzo added, “…you deserve it all. 🌹” And as stated before, it’s not the first time the former MVP was flaunting this illustrious brand that has managed to have a current revenue of between $200 million and $300 million, as per Vogue.

Back in 2018, B/R Kicks shared the photo on X, “Derrick Rose arrives in that Fear of God and pregame Subway.” To grow the brand, and after one decade in the business, Lorenzo hired the first CEO for the brand in 2023 in the form of Alfred Chang. He revealed the plans for the future, “As we look forward, we do see a path to half a billion dollars, and then after that, we see a path to a billion dollars.” It is safe to say that the future path of the brand seems to excite Pooh and his family.

The Chicago native was not alone in promoting the brand as the only person he follows on Instagram followed suit. The wife of the 36-year-old added multiple stories, “@fearofgod 🔥🔥🔥,” and added the third slide (featuring her family) captioning it with, ” Guys! 🔥❤️🌹.” Additionally, Alaina Anderson also shared the photoshoot post from the founder of the Fear of God brand.

She added “🌹,” and added the song, ‘Man at the Garden’ from latest Kendrick Lamar’s album GNX. The lyrics from the song prove how much Anderson is proud of her husband Derrick Rose. “Of sound body and tranquility, I deserve it all Like minds and less enemies, Stock investments, more entities I deserve it all.”

Two weeks ago, she was also proud to share their kid’s hooping. “Only kids fear of God /// shoe in the world just saying 😜🤩🏀” and “Workinnn 1 of 1⭐.” For the unversed, their son, London Marley, wore a Memphis Grizzlies jersey and was practicing shooting with his braided hair, while looking like a spitting image of his father. While the NBA legend has hung up his boots, his business ventures are only getting started. What are your views on Derrick Rose’s off-court endorsement and association with ‘Fear of God’?
