Shaquille O’Neal has been on the lookout for an NBA team for a while. The NBA veteran wants to get back into the game, but as an owner, and has reiterated his desire to become an owner in the league. The Big Man recently reiterated his wish during his conversation with Bloomberg.

His desperation has reached the point where Shaq doesn’t even care which team is available for him to take, he will buy into any franchise that is an option.

Shaq said, “I would definitely like to. Whatever team is available.” Shaq was recently at the iConnections Global Alts conference in Miami Beach where he was asked about his desire to own an NBA team. The Big Man has been a minority investor in the Sacramento Kings previously, but now wants an upgrade and to become a proper owner of an NBA team. There are several options that he has explored in the past, but nothing has worked in his favor so far. As for his minority stake in the Kings, the Big Man was forced to sell it after he became a brand ambassador for WynnBET because of the NBA owners’ rules.

Since then, Shaq has repeatedly stated that he wishes to be a majority owner in the league. While nothing has gone in his favor so far, he has his eyes set on a potentially upcoming franchise.

Shaquille O’Neal wishes to bring Vegas’ dreams to reality

After expressing his wish to have his own group of investors for his NBA franchise, Shaq said he is willing to explore the possibilities with Vegas. He said, “I know Vegas hasn’t been awarded an NBA team yet, but if they ever get to a point where they are awarded a team, I would like to be a part of that. I don’t want to partner up with nobody. I want it all for myself.” Although there is no possibility of another team joining the league till 2025, Shaq is positive about the Vegas franchise when it happens.

Seattle is another franchise that has a very high possibility of becoming a reality in the near future. With Shaq being open to going for ‘anything’ that is available, even if Seattle opens up, he will take it to fulfill his long-standing dream. Whenever this becomes a reality, it will be interesting to see how Shaq the owner executes his plans in the league.
