The NBA has always attracted the attention of skilled and brilliant players from all around the world. The league has recognized global talents and provided a platform for them to thrive. Similarly, the 2023 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class includes some of the greatest talents that graced the league. Ahead of the official induction, one of the inductees expressed his opinions on the greatness of this year’s class.
As the players gear up for their biggest honor, French basketball player Tony Parker is reminded of the massive impact all the players had made on the court.

Tony Parker showers praise on Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade along with Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol and more. The roster also has the names of some of the notable international players. One of them is 4-time NBA champion Tony Parker. Talking about the 2023 class, he stated how it is a priceless moment to have three European players on the roster. The French athlete went on to explain how as the odd one out, he and other international players have changed their perspective.
Speaking about this unique progress of the league, the athlete also praised the 3-time NBA champion Wade. In a conversation with Men’s Journal, he reasoned, “…And the class is amazing because you have D-Wade too. D-Wade is one of the best players ever. It’s a hell of a class. It’s got to be one, maybe one of the best in history. A lot of championships.”

It’s wonderful how the former players on the roster have constantly showered praise on each other.

In the past, people had some false beliefs regarding international players. But thanks to revolutionary players such as Tony Parker and Dirk Nowitzki, the perception towards international players has changed entirely. Just think of Nikola Jokic and Luca Doncic!
The NBA is one of the biggest global platforms for talent
As the first French player to get inducted into the Hall of Fame, Parker is truly happy and excited about it. During the interview, he shared, “This class is crazy, to be honest. And to have three Europeans too, it’s pretty special. Because at the time, if you put it in perspective, there was no European point guard and there was not a lot of Europeans and people didn’t believe a European guy can be a franchise player.”
