The two NBA superstars, Jordan and Wilkins, provided entertainment each night they played. While His Airness wowed crowds with his offensive talents, the Human Highlight dazzled spectators with his moves. In the regular season, they faced each other 45 times, and only once in the playoffs. But every time they went head to head, both of them gave it their all. The two Hall of Famers had most of their playing days in the same association. As Jordan was guiding the Bulls to a lot of three-peat championships, Wilkins was etching his name as one of the greatest players on the Atlanta Hawks’ clipboard.

In 1988, Wilkins and Jordan had their most memorable contest.
However, in a recent interview with Vlad TV, the veteran player accepted his defeat on the eve of competing with Jordan. The host asked Dominique Wilkins about his 87–88 season, where he was at his highest with the Hawks in his NBA career.
But Michael Jordan has an average of 35. Wilkins, with composure, replied, “I could never catch him“. He won the title score once and started chasing Jordan for four more years. Eventually, he gave up, as Jordan was unstoppable with an increasing average of 34. 35 and so on.

On his appearance on “Vlad TV,” Dominique Wilkins revealed that during the offseason, he and other professional players would go around the country to various playgrounds to recreate the game of pickup basketball. On one particular occasion, Wilkins and Michael Jordan were pitted against each other, and Wilkins provided the crowd with a moment to remember by nutmegging Jordan before dunking the ball. Wilkins stated that while the games could become competitive, the main goal was to get back to the basics and give the fans something to cheer about. He described it as:
