He said some things to me—personal messages that I ain’t going to reveal in public—that were very disrespectful.” A few days ago, Dwight Howard claimed that Shaquille O’Neal connected with him over some unsavory messages. During the recent podcast of DH12, the special guest was another former Lakers star who had a beef with Shaq in the past. So, it did not take long for JaVale McGee to come in support of Howard.

During the show, Shaquille O’Neal’s comment about Dwight Howard being a role player for the Lakers championship was discussed. McGee was quick, “That ain’t true.” The 3x NBA Champion also added, “The combination of our stats together, which is what you have to do because we basically just split minutes.McGee not only spoke highly about his partnership with Howard but made sure to shout out Anthony Davis and his contributions.

Lowest Rim percentage… and then you had AD at the four, bro.” The championship season for the Purple and Gold was truly epic. The team led the league in FG% and was defensively astute. During the regular season, they were the best team leading in blocks and averaging 6.6 per game. It was all possible because they had 3 players in the top 20 for blocks per game.

Davis with 2.3, McGee with 1.4, and Dwight Howard with 1.1. But it is obvious why Shaquille O’Neal felt that DH12 was a role player. After all, the 38-year-old only started in 2 games during the season. But the Center still managed 18.9 minutes per game, ninth best on the team. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t consider himself a role player. During the filming of the podcast, Howard surprisingly found out that O’Neal had left another message.

I didn’t block you I just don’t care for crybabies, enjoy yourself in Taiwan, hope u win.” But that’s not it. Recently, the 4x NBA Champion once again took a shot at Howard with help from Chris Paul on his social media.

Shaquille O’Neal won’t stop with his jabs at Dwight Howard

Big Aristotle needed to share a highlight from a 2006 game in which Chris Paul made a legendary dunk, not only because of CP3’s brilliance, but the person who was posterized was none other than Dwight Howard. To add more context, Paul is 6 feet in height and DH12 has a towering presence of 6’10”. So it’s clear that Shaq won’t slow down with his shots at Howard. But at least he did that with JaVale McGee.

McGee feuded with the ‘Shaqtin A Fool’ namesake because of the bloopers. Many players are still getting featured for their mistakes, but Shaq and JaVale had a verbal back and forth. Just like Howard and O’Neal are still going. But McGee once claimed that many team executives used that clip as an excuse and offered him a lesser contract. So, by 2017, O’Neal said he wouldn’t bury the 3x NBA champion again.

It was possible due to their mother stepping in to stop the feud. After all, the Bigs had to listen to Lucille O’Neal and Pamela McGee. Imagine two NBA champions needing the help of their parents to stop the beef. That’s why JaVale McGee did not diss at Shaquille O’Neal but only sided with his former teammate Dwight Howard.

“Stay tuned for more such updates and join us for the exciting second episode of the “Dual Threat Show” as our host BG12 sits down with Georgia Bulldogs star and Mountain West All-Freshman Team Selection, Asia Avinger.”
