The incident with Tyreek Hill has triggered a storm of controversy. Ahead of the matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver got involved in an odd situation with the Miami police later handcuffing him. At this moment, any and every comment on the matter is getting viral. Despite knowing the risks of receiving backlash, NBA champ Robert Horry has shared his take on this.
It was for a speeding ticket but soon the situation worsened with the police aggressively dragging the NFL player out. Luckily, Hill was released after 5 minutes. Taking a deeper look at the matter, Horry believed that both parties “were at fault.”
He shared that as a cop; they are always tense and on the edge. Hill was not only speeding, but he also had tinted glasses. “When you have tinted windows and especially like I tell my kids this all the time, if you get pulled over by a cop, roll your windows down, put your hand where they can be seen. I don’t give a s**t if you Tyreek Hill, you Robert or you Shaquille O’Neal,” Horry explained on his podcast, Big Shot Bob.

While the Dolphins star complied with the police’s orders and rolled his window down at the knock, he quickly tried to roll it up after the conversation. Horry explained that this was where the wrong thing happened.
“You have to understand cops are on high alert. There’s so much s**t going on in this world, now you got blacked-out windows and now just roll your f******g window down, we have made this situation easier but you want to roll your window back up that’s suspicious to me if I was a cop,” the Los Angeles Lakers legend justified.
He stated that this was a suspicious act when seen from the perspective of a police as they couldn’t see the driver’s hands which may cause alarm. But Hill shared that he rolled his windows up to avoid public attention. Both had their reasons.
Robert Horry was upset about one thing regarding the Tyreek Hill incident
Within seconds of the exchange, police dragged Hill to the ground, forcing him face-first before handcuffing him. The intensity of it shocked the onlookers and netizens. Noah Lyles and many other athletes expressed their shock at the use of extreme force. This is one thing that Horry had an issue with as well. Horry explained that such aggression was unnecessary.

“But the one that really upset me is when the dude f*****g like drop kicked him in the back to get him down…it was wrong on both parts but I think it could have been handled differently by Tyreek. I know if he looks back he’d have kept his window down and he would have got a ticket. He been gone in 15 to 20 minutes,” Horry shared.
Hill was seen questioning the officers’ behavior, to which they responded, “When we tell you to do something, you do it!” Later, Hill can be heard asking his teammate Jonnu Smith to call the Dolphins’ director of security, Drew Brooks, for help.
Hill later shared that the situation could have been worse if he weren’t a well-known figure. The franchise also issued a statement calling the officer’s actions “overly aggressive” and “violent conduct.” As of now, no further details have been released, while fans and celebrities continue to weigh in.
