Shaquille O’Neal is bearing the price of having his daughter closer to him. Taahirah O’Neal, formerly of Houston, is now a ‘Georgia Peach’. The 27-year-old has relocated to Atlanta where her dad resides and works at TNT. She’s not living in Shaq’s $1.15 million worth 14-acre property, though. She’s got her own home in Atlanta and had a glamorous housewarming to celebrate it.

Hers and her party guests’ social media posts confirmed that both her parents were present. Shaq stole the show, though being the dad stereotype. He made a speech at her party saying, “Baby, I’m so proud of you. Even though you got me paying two rents.” Shaq sounded pained by the double expense but he’s still looking every bit happy having his eldest daughter in the same city.

Someone chimed in, “So worth it,” but Taahirah didn’t even deny it. That begs the question what is Shaq paying two rents on? Does Taahirah have two places? Is she also maintaining a place in Texas where her mom, Arnetta Yardbourgh, is? Did Shaq move next door to her? Is Shaq even telling the truth?

O’Neal is a strict dad who has been public about his stance on aiding his kids. All six O’Neal kids know better than to expect handouts from Shaq’s wealth. The eldest ones, like Myles and Taahirah, are independently following their own dreams. While Myles is a model and DJ, Taahirah has a beauty and wellness business. She’s also a PR specialist who has given her services to Shaq’s many companies like Big Chicken.

Apart from his knack for business, Taahirah has Shaq’s silly humor. Complementing his speech for her housewarming, Taahirah shared more pictures including a cake that stayed on the growing up theme. “I’m 27 years old, I have no money and no prospects. I’m already a burden to my parents and I’m frightened,” was written on the cake.

It’s all in jest. Taahirah, along with her little sisters, Amirah and Me’Arah, have a little advantage over Myles, Shareef, and Shaqir. Doting Dad Diesel is just a tad softer on his girls. They get a few extra perks from the big man.

It isn’t limited to Shaq being the ultimate hype-dad breaking into a jig before cheering her through the Soul Train. He’s making his support obvious with cool hip-hop-themed gestures for Me’Arah’s senior night and promoting Taahirah’s ventures. She’s reciprocated the love publicly on social media too. We’re going to see more of the ultimate father-daughter duo now that Taahirah and Shaq are now Atlanta locals.
