However, the former NBA champion has made amends for his strict parenting style by sharing a wholesome gesture on his Instagram.

Dwight Howard, the Orlando Magic legend, has played 18 seasons of the NBA and has been an eight-time all-star. Apart from being a great player, Howard, in his own way, is a fantastic dad. The 8x all-star is a dad to five kids. Despite widespread criticism, Superman had stated publicly that he is not apologetic about how he raises his children.?

Recently, Howard showed a new version of his parenting style on Instagram. It is contrary to what people had seen in the viral video with his 9YO son.?

The video showed Howard and his two kids enjoying a sunny day in their backyard. The Howards are seen competing in a running race while maintaining their cheerful demeanor.

Controversy surrounding Dwight Howard’s parenting

Dwight Howard made waves on the internet for his parenting style a few weeks back. The 37YO former NBA star was seen pushing the limits of his 9YO son, David. David was seen on an exercise bike, working out with his father by his side.

The son of the NBA champion was crying and begging to stop the exercise. At the same time, Howard tapped on his chest and proclaimed that he could finish the exercise. Despite the 9-year-old crying out loud in pain, Howard was determined to complete the course.

?I want you to do it until I tell you to stop,? he commanded his son in the video.

NBA fans and people alike criticized this parenting style. However, few of the fans sided with Howard for pushing his son to complete the task.
