Dwight Howard, however, is no stranger to the screen, having appeared in movies like Just Wright and The Equalizer 2, as well as TV shows such as Black-ish, Never Have I Ever, and The Odd Couple. Interestingly, his journey in the entertainment industry isn’t just limited to acting…
The multi-talented hoopster has competed on shows such as Dancing With The Stars, performed as a purple octopus on The Masked Singer, and participated in the reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Beyond that, he hosts the podcast Above The Rim with D12, where he delves into sports, culture, and lifestyle topics, revealing a side of himself that fans didn’t usually see on the court.
Dwight Howard lost $1 million on a reality show, but still emerged victorious! How?
Dwight Howard jumped into the world of reality TV with Netflix’s Inside: USA, a high-stakes show where 12 internet stars live together for a week, battling it out for a shot at $1 million. But life inside wasn’t easy. They enter with nothing, and every little thing comes at a cost. A coffee? $500. A pillow? $2,000. Even spilling a secret could set you back $5,000. Howard gave it his all, but in the end, he didn’t walk away with the prize—the $1 million slipped right through his fingers.
The fanbase watched the NBA’s Superman go head-to-head with the other Insiders, surviving challenges, secret missions, and shocking eliminations, but ultimately, it was TikTok star Aisha Mian, who boasts over 3 million followers, who outlasted everyone and claimed the prize.
He may have missed out on the $1 million prize, but Dwight Howard witnessed a life-changing emotional announcement while filming Inside: USA. With phones banned, the hoopster’s team scrambled to make sure he heard the news: he’d been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame!
