The feud between Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard has been going on for a lot of years now. The two NBA legends have called out each other on several occasions and the latest was from Howard, who called Shaq a liar through his Twitter. Shaq had claimed that Howard never reached out to him for advice, but the latter had a different story about his relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers legend. On his appearance on Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller’s podcast, The OGs, Howard shared some unknown insights about his beef with Shaq.

Miller told Howard, “He[Shaq] said that you never reached out to him for advice, and the 3x DPOY replied“That’s a lie. Further, the Orlando Magic icon confirmed that Shaq is a liar. He added, There hasn’t been a time where Shaq has just reached out like that. I’ve reached out to Shaq myself on multiple occasions. Cuz I’m like, ‘What’s the issue?’. I understand the competitive side, but we don’t even compete against each other.”

Howard added, “You know, it’s like two different stratospheres. He played, he did his thing. Nobody has ever taken that away. And I did my thing. I have reached out to him.” The former NBA center has revealed his side of the story. It’s time for Shaq to get back on this now.

This is probably one of the longest off-court rivalries in the NBA. The Michael Jordan-Isiah Thomas beef is the longest. Howard and O’Neal started it way back in 2008 after the former wore a Superman costume in the dunk contest. Shaq felt like his identity was stolen and that was the start of the feud. It’s been more than a decade, and Howard has realized that life is short now.

In the above podcast, he shared, “I would like for us to have some type of a relationship. You know, life is too short and for us to be who we are, there’s no way we shouldn’t be able to work together.” These words from Howard are very promising. Everything has to come to an end. The fact that these two legends did not even play together, makes this feud more surprising. Howard has let his guard down. He is ready to get on good terms with the Big Diesel. Now it is in Shaq’s hands to make things even.
