Dwight Howard wants to do parenting right! Back in time when his son, Braylon Howard called him out for being absent, the basketball legend chose silence. In an episode of Gil’s Arena podcast, the basketball star admitted that he would like to give more time to his kids following his retirement. So, this time, he didn’t choose silence. When accused of not providing enough financial support to his kids’ mother, Howard suggested his new request for his kids.

In response to his ex Royce Reed’s accusations, Howard clarified that he had paid around $13000 to her every month in child support. And he had just recently stopped paying the child support amount. Till now, he has paid more than $2.4 million for his one kid. Speaking of his son, Howard expressed how Braylon has the spirit and talent genes of both him and his mother.

The NBA All star pressed on how his son can play sports, dance or take up any other business. He argued that his son’s mother should put more focus on the child and help him grow so that he can in turn take care of her.

“We don’t have to be together but okay we have our son. He could act he got a portion of your spirit and mine which means he could probably sing act dance play sports do whatever he want to do and he’s smart,”  Howard said during his appearance at The Gauds Show. He further added, “Instead of taking the money and taking away, build let’s build on that let’s use what he has to make him better and you know what’s going to happen when you do that it’s going to in turn take care of you…doing this for our child it’s going to make you better.”

Royce Reed accused Dwight Howard of cheating

Taking to her social media, Reed shared that Howard didn’t allow her to dance for the Miami Heat or the Dallas Cowboys. These were the two teams she had wanted to dance for, but Howard reportedly stopped her from auditioning for them. Furthermore, she has revealed something else.

She recently started a new Instagram handle, @ihadababybysuperman to share all the details about her story. She shared how the two met and eventually revealed that Howard cheated on her. She even threatened to reveal all the emails and texts to expose him. “Imma post the texts and emails too if you keep playing with me and calling my bluff! I know about way more than you think I do so imma leave the initials R.E. to let you know it’s ON!” she posted on her IG handle.

On the other hand, Howard’s response has been simple, he just wished her luck. In response to The Shade Room’s questions, the Orlando Magic legend said, “This is my HOF year. I’m getting married. God is amazing. And I’m so grateful and I wish Royce nothing but the best peace and (blessings).” There’s more to this drama, especially with a new reality series featuring Reed and Howard’s ex, The Ladies of Orange County, coming in 2025.
