Halloween saw Dwight Howard and his dance partner Daniella Katagach deliver the most stunning performance of the night, earning the duo their first 10 of the season. While he got eliminated from the competition on the 500th episode of the show, Howard ensured his presence was felt. Most importantly, this wasn’t just a short spree. This journey likely inspired the basketball legend which is probably why Howard must be missing showing off his dance moves while being on the special episode.

With the return of former contestants, Howard also returns to share a moment on the DWTS stage one last time. His dance partner recently shared a glimpse from behind the scenes of the finale show. As the finalists continued practicing hard, FOMO might have taken over Howard, as Karagach asked him to show his go-to moves.

Quickly getting up from his seat, Howard showed his odd move. “Air the fart out,” he proudly named it, waving his hands from the back toward the front. His dance wasn’t exactly appreciated by those present, although it was a source of good laughter.

Long hours of enduring toxic air, thanks to Howard, height differences, and schedule issues, the two went through a lot for this show. Getting emotional on the reunion after the elimination, Karagach shared a clip where she can be seen hugging the former NBA player. “Reunited 🥹✨ #dd#dwts,” Karagach captioned the post.

And regardless of how much FOMO or the absence of Mirrorball Trophy takes over, Howard is clearly here to make the most out of it. This had been a transformative journey for the basketball star after all.

Dwight Howard looks back at his DWTS journey

The rigorous dance practice turned out to be as effective as his exercise sessions. “It’s fun, it’s difficult ’cause we’re really did 8 hours a day like how could you dance that much it ain’t that much music…And it’s really got me in shape like I’m in basketball shape and I haven’t run no sprints, I haven’t done no, well I’ve been doing a lot of jumping,” Howard said on Nightcap.

He admitted that it was one of the best decisions he had ever made. This off-season stint has been incredible for the former Los Angeles Lakers star. And he will likely bring his A-game when he returns with the Taoyuan Leopards. Looking back, Howard believes this experience will forever remain special to him, even if he lost.

“Even until the end, we worked hard every day. We didn’t get the trophy, but I know I put in 110% every single day and, you know, I’m happy with where we are,” he said to Good Morning America.

Now getting a bit to the finale, the competition will certainly pit the five contestant pairs against each other. Danny Amendola and Witney Carson, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong, Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten, and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold are the five finalists in the show since no one was eliminated in the semi-finals.

Apart from the fierce competition, Howard’s IG stories do promise quite a few more interesting moments!
