Christmas preparations for the Wades are in full swing. Spending time with family is what Dwyane Wade looks forward to during the holidays. With Christmas just around the corner, the Wades have come together, and the festive preparations are kicking into high gear. For Christmas, both Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union don’t prefer to buy expensive gifts for each other. But a little bling isn’t bad, as the two went out on a hunt for some holiday shopping.

The Christmas spirit has clearly taken over the lovey-dovey couple, as Wade just shared a cute selfie on his IG Story. Gabrielle also posed for the selfie as Chris Brown’s Christmas song played in the background of the story. Their youngest, Kaavia, has joined in on the fun with her god-sisters. A snap of Kaavia lying on the couch along with two other little girls on Wade’s story read, “Spending this Christmas with her God Sisters” with a heart emoji.

While the Wades are all set for the holidays, there seems to be some shopping still needed. “Last min Christmas shopping,” Wade captioned his IG Story, which shows Union consulting with a friend. Following the shopping trip, the couple headed to the beach to spend some cozy time.

This wind tho,” Wade captioned one post. Another snap showed Union hugging Wade as he held his arms open in the air. “Right before this I just got on her last nerve,” he captioned it. It’s seemingly the time and love that the couple prefers over pricey Christmas gifts.

Wade once explained the reason to his fans.

Why do Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union choose to keep Christmas gifts modest?

The two have been married for 10 years. Dwyane Wade met the actress sometime in the late 2000s. Over the years, Wade confessed that he realized price tags aren’t the most important part when it comes to giving gifts. Perhaps this is why, during their wedding anniversary this year, Union sang a song to her husband as a gift.

She performed Shania Twain’s 1997 ballad “You’re Still the One” to mark their 10th anniversary. She even took lessons to hone her vocals. For Christmas as well, the two look forward to gifting each other something meaningful and thoughtful.

“Gab and I have learned it’s not about the price tag or going over the top with gifts. It’s about making it meaningful, something that speaks to who we are as a couple,” Wade told E! News. The Miami Heat legend added, “We try to focus on experiences. It’s about creating memories, not just unwrapping a box. At the end of the day, it’s the thought and love behind the gift that counts. That’s how we keep it special every year.”

Wade’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, when he gets together with all his family members and enjoys spending time with them. So, we can expect a few more wholesome moments from Wade’s IG handle this Christmas as well.
