Dwyane Wade Reveals Secret to 10-Year Long Successful Marriage With Gabrielle Union on Met Gala Red Carpet

Whoever said marriage is not a bed of roses has not met Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union. They have had their fair share of ups and downs but still made their relationship work phenomenally. At another one of their annual Met Gala appearances, they looked in sync with style as much as perceptions. So someone had to do the noble deed and ask the important question – how do they do it?
Dwyane Wade, in a lilac Versace creation, moved his wife and the reporters to tears with his answer. “Just being able to see each other evolve and grow,” he explained that still keeps him excited about his wife. “We’ve been together for 15 plus years, and we’ve seen different versions of each other, and continue to choose each other and love each other through all those versions is a tough thing to do. But when you’re able to see the flower that you pointed, you’re able to see it grow in the garden.”
Wade’s poetic summary of their marriage was more on theme with the ‘Garden of Time’ than their Little Mermaid-inspired outfit, according to fans. Even Gab was at a loss for words, with no way to top his response.

This is the couple’s fifth Met Gala date night. Following Union’s Met Gala debut in 2014, she and Wade hit the 2015 Met Gala as newlyweds after their wedding on August 30, 2014. This year they complemented each other in aquatic colors with Wade, in his understated suit gave Gab and her sparkling Michael Kors number the full spotlight multiple times on the red carpet.
As Wade said in another interview tonight, they conceptualize their Met Gala outfits to stay on theme, and stay unique but also be mindful to complement each other as a pair. As usual, their partnership was the eye-catcher over their fashion. And they served more wholesomeness several times in the night.

The Dwyane Wade Fam is fashion-forward and wholesome
Their glamorous night wouldn’t start without their littlest fashion evaluator. Pity Kaavia is not a regular Met Gala attendee yet, but she, like all of us, is a keen observer. They had the five-year-old who’s been on this planet as many times as they’ve attended fashion’s biggest night rate their fits.
Apparently, Shady Baby liked what she saw. They revealed in an interview that Kaavia’s exact words were, “Mommy, you look like a mermaid!” We imagine the awe and adoration were there because Union dubbed this review a “Mission accomplished.”

While Zaya and her thriving fashion career will earn her her own invite one day in the future, Union previously said she’s saving her Met Gala outfits for Kaavia. This siren style is going to Kaavia for sure who loves the mermaid theme. If her parents keep serving relationship goals with fashion inspo this way, we can see why Kaavia is a fan.
