Despite Kobe Bryant‘s demise in 2020, his family continues to carry his legacy forward. His wife Vanessa has not only fought legal battles in the court for her husband, but she has also ensured the underserved get looked after through her late husband’s non-profit organization. The Mamba and the Mambacita Sports Foundation recently launched a rather chic clothing line. Kobe’s former rival and fellow Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade was spotted paying an ode to the 5x NBA champion on his social media handle.

Kobe started the foundation back in 2016 as the Mamba Sports Foundation. However, after the demise of Kobe and his daughter, Gianna, Vanessa renamed it the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Miami great Dwyane Wade, who’s coming fresh off his Hall of Fame induction, faced Kobe Bryant a ton of times. He’s well aware of what the Mamba mentality stands for. The Flash and the Black Mamba were also part of the Redeem Team that brought the Olympic Gold medal home. Recently Wade endorsed his late teammate and rival on his social media handle.

Dwyane Wade posted a snap of him donning a rather chic white top from the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. It’s quite evident that Kobe Bryant has had a profound impact on the basketball world. Fans are going to remember Kobe’s name until the game of basketball ceases to exist. While Wade proudly showcased the hoodie, he didn’t face much success against the Lakers icon.

Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade once went at it during the All-Star game in 2012. In the tussle, Wade ended up breaking Kobe’s nose. He later said, “The refs weren’t calling it. I wanted the refs to see it.” The Miami great made it clear that Kobe started the physical tussle and wanted to make sure the referees took note of Kobe’s antics. This physical altercation ended up breaking Kobe’s nose.

Wade mentioned that the duo was just getting competitive, and he tried to foul Kobe to give him the taste of his very own medicine. This battle highlights the competitive instinct of these elite basketball players.
