Dwyane Wade is not going to let his dad take the credit for his one trait. Dwyane Wade Sr. is proud of what his son has achieved during his career. It seems the Flash’s groundbreaking style is also one of the things that he is proud of. Well, the fashion icon Wade has been! In an unsuccessful attempt to take credit for this trait, the elder Wade made a claim.

During an interesting conversation on their recent trip to China, Dwyane Wade Sr. spoke about watching his son on stage promoting his brand, Way of Wade. He added that his son was amazing in what he did. To amuse the listeners further, he humorously claimed that it was basically his style that his son had stolen. “I don’t even know what to say but it was amazing. Like I already know how he moved anyway he basically stole my style,” Wade’s father said on The Wine Down Podcast.

Dwyane Wade credits his father for his style and self-love practice

In most of his interviews, the Heat legend has openly discussed the influence his father has had on him. As a young athlete, he looked up to his dad. From his work ethic to his style, he was inspired by his father.

“My father has always been a man who would take care of himself. My uncles took care of themselves. I always knew that’s what I wanted to do: I wanted to be one of them sharp-dressed men who smelled good, who stayed clean-shaved, and all that,” Wade said in an interview with Highsnobiety.

He once stated that all the male members of his family were very stylish. Taking care of oneself and dressing well is something Wade learned from his father and uncles. Now, he takes it very seriously. He says that the first thing he notices about people is their attire, as it reveals a lot about their personality.

Wade is indeed the one of the most stylish NBA star. He is neither shy about flaunting a shirtless look at award functions nor arriving with painted nails for an event at the Kaseya Center. He has always been the NBA guy who emphasizes the importance of self-care.
