The Flash gets what he wants! We don’t often see athletes effortlessly transition into modeling. Angel Reese and Dwyane Wade are two of the current names who have been successful off the court. Wade has found a way to thrive post his retirement. From his business ventures to his numerous ad campaigns, the Miami Heat icon is living the life. Furthermore, the 3x NBA champ recently turned into Marvel’s Thor, flexing his abs for Versace’s underwear campaign. When asked about it, Wade revealed the hard work behind the transformation.

In his conversation with Today, Wade shared that he underwent several 5 am workout sessions and hard work to get the abs he flaunted in the picture shown on screen. I got my moment, bro… They finally gave me my (pictures) on billboards around the world. We have been working at this for a while. I’m one of the first faces that will look like that man up there on the Versace underbox. A lot of a.m. workouts to get to that,Wade said during his appearance on Today.

The pictures were photographed by Tim El Kaïm. He also mentioned his long-standing desire to feature in an underwear campaign. Wade’s team worked tirelessly to find the right brand to collaborate with. And that is when he ultimately connected with his long-time favorite, Versace.

After becoming an official collaborator in 2023 and working with the fashion giant on an eyewear campaign, Wade was featured in their underwear campaign. Besides workouts, Wade acknowledged a bit of photoshopping to enhance the photos too. “A little Photoshop always helps,” Wade mentioned in an interview with VMAN. Anyone hoping to see more of the 42-year-old this summer will get their wishes fulfilled soon.

For those who don’t know, the Miami Heat legend is all set to be back in action. NBC has hired Wade for the 2024 Paris Olympics as an analyst for the men’s basketball team. He will share his unique perspective and knowledge of the game in this new role. For his new gig, the Flash has just one goal in mind. As someone well-versed in the game, Wade shared that his focus will be on everyone, not just the players but also the referees and fans. It has been over a decade and a half since Wade’s last Olympic appearance.
