Dwyane Wade’s son has found a new home after applying to the Basketball Africa League with the Cape Town Tigers. Zaire Wade has signed with the Macau Black Bears for The Asian Tournament. The tournament consists of 7 teams with 3 world imports allowed per team apart from 3 Asian imports.
On 13th April the team made it official that Zaire had signed, posting on Instagram they wrote ” KID FLASH IS COMING TO THE ASIAN TOURNAMENT! Zaire Wade, son of the Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade signs with Macau Black Bears!” The proud father wrote in comments ” The Journey…” A few hours ago the team had the official press conference and officially welcomed Zaire to the team. The caption was ” Zaire Wade fresh off the airplane straight to the Foshan Press Conference!…”

Li Ning is the sponsor for the event, and currently, their market cap is around $6.10 Billion according to companiesmarketcap. The Miami Heat star signed with Li Ning in 2012 and signed a lifetime deal in 2018. Li-Ning was experiencing heavy losses then, and it was a mild cause for concern. Even in 2013, the stock price dropped by 15%. Also, the first drop of Way Of Wade happened with mixed reactions.
Dwyane Wade’s strong connection with Li Ning
Before signing with the Chinese brand, Wade was in contract with Nike and the Jordan Brand. But the Flash wanted to follow his idol Michael Jordan and create his own identity. So he took a huge bet on himself and signed with Li Ning. At the time there were a lot of doubts if the deal would be successful since Li Ning wanted to focus majorly on the market in China, but now Wade can proudly flaunt his success.

The 3x NBA champion is all set to launch his latest venture in collaboration with Chris Johnson’s Jus Hoop. Johnson, in an Instagram post, announced the first establishment of the upcoming basketball academies by Wade. ‘Wade Basketball Academy’ also had Li Ning as a partner.

During the camp, Wade was seen hooping with local players. Zaire is also part of the core team who is helping Wade to set up the academy. D-Wade was getting more money compared to his previous contract with Nike. Secondly, he was made Chief Brand Officer of the Way of Wade brand which gave him more control.
