Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the world’s most popular celebrities and is loved by millions of people all over the world. Though he has a tendency to avoid drama, the former WWE superstar was recently involved in an unfortunate controversy. A wax statue made in his honor drew major criticism from fans and “The Rock” himself!

In a recent podcast episode, a 7x NBA champion gives his opinion on the wax statue, and an unusual parallel is drawn to the likeness.

In a podcast episode of “Big Shot Bob”, the co-host mentions Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s controversial wax statue. He mentioned, “Funniest story of the week for me. Did you see “The Rock’s” wax statue?”

7x NBA champion Robert Horry responded, “Yeah I looked it up…a part of his head isn’t as round as ‘The Rock’s’.” The co-host then said that the wax statue looks more like Vin Diesel but Robert Horry did not agree.

Robert Horry stated, “To me, it looked like ‘The Rock’.” He described the statue by drawing a strange parallel to the Hollywood actor, “’The Rock’ has more of an egg-shaped head, and that came out like the Mr. Clean head.”

‘Mr. Clean’ is a mascot and the brand name of an American-owned company called “Procter & Gamble”. “The Rock” was certainly not happy when the ‘The Musée Grévin’ in France unveiled the wax statue and criticized it too.

‘The Musée Grévin’ then redid the wax statue. The new version has darker skin and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s face looks more natural.

Another controversial wax statue that needs a ‘little work’ is the Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce’s wax statue in the Boston Museum.

Paul Pierce is a Boston Celtics great who contributed majorly to their iconic NBA championship in 2008. He is a ten-time NBA All-Star who is known for his clutch shooting and blunt trash-talking skills.

However, many Boston fans were shocked to see Paul Pierce’s statue because it looked nothing like him. Sports Illustrated also talked about Paul Pierce’s horrible ‘wax statue treatment’.
