Cooper Flagg was the Gatorade player of the year in 2022 in Maine. As a sophomore, he averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. He is always a threat to score a triple-double on any given day. His amazing talent was on display on the video Shaq shared. He captioned it, “Is he going #1?“.

Flagg is 16 years old and is already 6’8. He recently transferred to Montverde Academy. When Shaq started high school, he was 6’8 and by the age of 16; he was already 6’10. Making him 2 inches taller than Cooper is right now.

Cooper is a three-level scorer. He is a threat from anywhere on the floor, as he is able to find his teammates as well. Apart from this, he is also a great defender. His height also allows him to be an elite shot blocker at the rim. His talent was seen the most at the latest EYBL tournament by Nike for players under the age of 17. Here he averaged 27 PPG, 12 REB, 2 AST, and 4.3 BLOCK.

He was reclassified to 2024, so he will be in the 2025 draft, making things difficult for other youngsters trying to make it to the league.
