ESPN Employee Willing to Eat “Snake Egg” for $4.5 Million, Makes Hilarious Confession Over Controversial Reality Show

People can do a lot for money, including retired NBA players who are always looking for their next ‘big’ financial investment. Richard Jefferson is an NBA Veteran and a two-time NBA champion. 

He is also an ESPN employee currently, so Jefferson is a multi-millionaire as of 2023. However, in a recent interview, he makes a hilarious confession over a controversial reality show.

In a recent “Road Trippin’” podcast episode, one of the co-hosts asks the two-time NBA champion if he had seen “Squid Games”. Jefferson replies, “No…I’m talking about the show. No one is dying in the show on Netflix…” The other co-host then tells the NBA Veteran, “Richard, you and I are not built to be hanging off of stuff or eating snake eggs…” and Jefferson interjects, “Not yet…but you tell me when and I will be.” As the co-hosts laugh, Richard Jefferson doubles down with a hilarious confession regarding the controversial reality show.

He says, “I’m not built for a marathon but if you tell me that I have a chance to win $4,500,000 if I win this marathon…boy my training going to look different…Imma be walking around here looking like a Kenyan in four months.” Jefferson’s hilarious confession had the two co-hosts laugh out loud but one could tell that Jefferson was not entirely joking around. After retiring from the NBA in 2018, Richard Jefferson pursued a career in the sports media industry as an NBA analyst for ESPN. The 2016 NBA Champion was regularly appearing on shows across multiple platforms including ‘NBA Today’, ‘NBA Countdown’, ‘First Take’, ‘Get Up’, ‘SportsCenter’, and ‘Hoop Streams’. He also has his podcast show called “Road Trippin’” which he hosts with Allie Clifton and Channing Frye. The podcast is a premier podcast for entertainment and insightful NBA stories, as the three hosts discuss everything about basketball in the podcast.

Jefferson’s estimated earnings are a staggering $120 million in his 18-year career as an NBA player. He reportedly earns $2.45 million annually as an ESPN analyst and the money he makes from his brand endorsements and YouTube channels is still undisclosed.
