Kobe Bryant once told Pau Gasol “Send me your sons and I’ll teach them how to be tough, to fight, to work and go for it… I’ll send you my daughters so you can teach them about culture, awareness, things like that.” The Spanish superstar has named her first daughter Elisabet Gianna Gasol in honor of the Lakers star. But the bond doesn’t just end there. Vanessa Bryant is also the Godmother of Pau and Catherine McDonnell’s children. So, obviously she wouldn’t forget to make the two-year-old’s day special.

Happy 2nd birthday to our gentle giant, Max! You are sweet, smart, stubborn and so cute (papa’s clone). We love you so much.” Speaking about celebration, the Gasol family announced in July earlier this year.

New Rookie signing! Gasol starting 5, coming this fall 2024 season. 🧔🏻‍♂️👩🏼👧🏻👦🏼👶🏻.” Vanessa Bryant’s eldest, Natalia added, “YAYYY❤️❤️❤️.” Once Catherine hilariously shared the problem of having a third child. “Poor third kid never gets bump pics $thirdchildproblems already.

In September, she added Instagram stories and humorously said how their third child almost never gets baby bump pics. In her black dress, her baby bump is almost hard to spot, but Pau Gasol’s wife was warmly holding her stomach to show her baby bump. No doubt both families will have a complete celebration for Gasol’s youngest, just like they did last year for Max.

In January last year, Vanessa Bryant shared images of both families spending time together. But the caption was dedicated to the birthday boy, Max. “Sweet baby Max ❤️ @paugasol @catgasol.” Catherine replied, “Max loves his auntie V and cousins! ❤️🙌.” And again, the celebrations don’t seem to end and Vanessa Bryant makes sure she is a part of all of them.

Not just baby Max, Vanessa Bryant also celebrated ‘Brother’ Pau Gasol’s birthday

After the week when the Lakers finally unveiled the first of the three statues of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol spoke to former teammates about celebrating Black Mamba’s teachings.

I think it’s also our responsibility as we are here to be able to spread that mindset as much as we can to the younger generation. In this world that is fast-moving, everything is in your phone, you can get anything quickly in an easier way. But there’s no replacement for hard work, for dedication, for commitment.”

So, when it came to celebrating Pau Gasol, Vanessa Bryant added a post on her Instagram, “Happy birthday, brother!!! We love you @paugasol 💛🎂🎉.” The 44-year-old added the post to her story, and wrote, “Thank you, sister!! Love you!!” and added multiple heart emojis. Even Kobe Bryant’s eldest affectionately calls Gasol as ‘Uncle Pau.’

And why wouldn’t she? Because he always has been teaching Kobe and Vanessa’s daughters one or the other activities. From taking ballet lessons with Bianca to playing with toys alongside Capri and even playing golf alongside Natalia.
