Shaq playing humble? Pigs might be flying. But he didn’t want to disclose his sizable real estate portfolio when the subject came up on The Big Podcast. Shaquille O’Neal told Kirk Cousins and Adam Lefkoe of at least four official mansions he calls home. He also revealed his peculiar home-buying process, which is not how most of us would operate. Then again, he skipped out a lot of other properties to his name.

He mentioned his well-known mega-mansions in Orlando, Beverly Hills, another one in Florida, and his recent purchase in Dallas. Oddly, he’s never toured any of them before he bought them.

Shaq’s most famous home has to be the Superman-size and themed mansion in Orlando in 1993 during his rookie season with the Magic. He told Lefkoe he never toured the house himself before buying. Most of the time, he picks them through pictures. He bought the famous blue-roofed house when it was in foreclosure just by its pictures for under $4 million.

After his divorce from Shaunie Henderson, Shaq admitted that he felt lonely in the big house. He finally listed it for sale in 2018 and after slashing the price, it finally sold in 2021 for $11 million. But he implies he has another residence in Orlando. Details of his current home aren’t public.

Lakers Legend lives larger than life

During his Lakers’ prime, Shaq had two residences in the area. He had a home in Beverly Hills that boasts a stadium-seating style screening room, a fully equipped game room, a tennis court, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen in its features. He sold it for $6.4 million in 2004 when he headed to Miami. The home has once again been sold for a profitable $9 million.

He had another 5,200 sq ft. house in the gated community of Bell Canyon. The two-story foyer once displayed his championship and MVP trophies along with Lakers-themed artwork. The home sold for $1.85 million in 2021.

He also reportedly has a five-bedroom pad in Los Angeles he bought in 2000 for a relative bargain of $654,000.

Shaquille O’Neal sets roots in Cowboys Nation

The diehard Dallas Cowboys fan grew up in San Antonio, has kids living in Houston, and offered Tony Parker $5 hard cash for his San Antonio mega-mansion. But Dallas is special to him. He said on the podcast that he bought a house in Mavs territory “last week” after looking at pictures on Instagram. He hasn’t made any details public yet.

He bought another home in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2022 for $1.22 million. The 4,269 sq. ft. home includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a home theater, a pool, a spa, a rock waterfall, and a deluxe office.

Florida, Georgia, and other places where Shaq owns homes

While Orlando is beloved to him, O’Neal needed a residence closer to the Miami Heat. That’s why he purchased a home worth $16 million in the area. The home was featured prominently in his TNT reality series, Shaq Life. It’s visible on the show that everything in this home from its garage to the pool is Big Diesel-sized. Furthermore, Shaq is also a Georgia Peach.

O’Neal’s job at TNT keeps him in Atlanta for most of the year. He has at least three properties in Georgia, and he jokes he’s paying the rent for his eldest daughter’s recent move there. His primary residence is apparently a 7,400 sq. ft. eye-popper in McDonough, worth $1.15 million. But the entertainment mogul’s party house is different.
