Ex-Bulls Superstar Wanted to Hug Jerry Krause’s Widow After Witnessing ‘The Worst Thing of His Life’

Things took an ugly turn at the ‘Ring of Honor’ when Jerry Krause appeared on the big screen tonight. The former Chicago Bulls manager is one of the inaugural inductees and he was not honored by the fans as expected. After his name appeared on the main screen, fans across the United Center booed the late manager, that too right in front of his wife, who couldn’t help but tear up. The netizens blasted the Chicago fans. Former Bulls center Stacey King also went off on the crowd.

King was the commentator today, and he said, “Chicago is a sports town and what we witnessed today when Jerry Krause’s name was called, and the people that booed Jerry Krause and his widow who is accepting his honor for him, was the worst thing I’ve seen in my lifeWhoever booed her in this arena should be ashamed of themselves...Whether you like Jerry Krause or not, that man brought 6 championships here.” King also added that he felt like hugging Krause’s wife after witnessing such a terrible thing.

But with faceless spectators booing from the anonymity of the crowd, who is really to be blamed?

Fans blame Michael Jordan’s documentary for the Jerry Krause disrespect

It’s a known fact that MJ’s fandom is pretty huge and wild. But today, his greatness seems to have blinded his biggest fans. The ‘Last Dance’ documentary showcased some entertaining moments that the fans will always remember. Surprisingly, they also seem to keep in mind the bitter moments.

Michael Jordan did not forget to share the feud he had with Jerry Krause back in 1998, which separated the big 3. Although the 6x NBA champion did not like what Krause did, at the end of the day, it was only business. Anyhow, Jordan went on to portray the late legend in a negative way in his docuseries, which may have inspired some ugly events today.

Let’s not forget what Krause has done for the city of Chicago and the Bulls. If not for him, we might have never seen the second three peat. He managed to pull in Dennis Rodman from the Pistons, Tony Kukoc from Europe, and a lot other crucial players over the years, which helped the Bulls dominate during Mike’s prime.
