The Memphis Grizzlies have started to figure things out since Ja Morant returned to the lineup. Morant continued his undefeated record as the team took down the New Orleans Pelicans in a close game in overtime. But the NBA world was left stunned after seeing Morant celebrate on the court after making an alley-oop in the final seconds.

Having already served his 25-game suspension for his off-court activities of flaunting his gun on social media, former Houston Rockets star Chandler Parsons was not a fan of seeing the gun celebration from Morant at the end of the game.

What else has to happen for you, and your family and your friends, to learn? Just make this about basketball, make this about your life, make this about your livelihood, and stop doing things like this,” said Chandler Parsons when discussing Morant’s actions during the game on the show Run It Back.

Ja Morant has really shown that the Grizzlies have a chance of making the playoffs if he is in the lineup. The team has won their first four matches with Morant after starting the season 6-19 without him. But Morant has to find a way to remain on the court while avoiding putting himself in a situation where the NBA has to intervene.

As Parsons mentioned, Morant caught himself as soon as he started doing the celebration. Thus, Morant is showing signs that he has learned from his past mistakes. Hence, it won’t be long before Morant fully leaves these habits behind him.

Chandler Parsons wants the best for Ja Morant

Although Chandler Parsons questioned if Morant has learned anything during his suspension, the former Grizzlies player is rooting for the 2x All-Star. Ja Morant is one of the best players in the NBA, and his team is one of the best in the league with him playing.

Parsons also revealed that Morant is his second-most favorite player in the NBA. Even in the match against the Pelicans, Morant led all players in scoring and even had many highlight plays. So, Parsons does not want Morant to be held out again. Although these celebrations might get overlooked since it is Ja Morant, there are higher chances for the NBA to look into this behavior.
