The attention on Bronny James is slowly turning bitter for him. The University of South Carolina baller has just started college basketball, and the pressure is already sky-high. There are obvious reasons – such as carrying his dad’s legacy, making a name for himself, making it to the NBA, etc. Now above all this, he has to continuously face crowds in away games who do not hesitate to disrespect him. Somehow, fans have found a way to put all the blame on his father, LeBron James. 

Bronny played against Arizona yesterday and the entire crowd erupted to call him “overrated”. An X user believes a good baller like Bronny does not deserve so much hate and went on to put all the blame on his father. He shared, “Because his father has no self-awareness, needs constant validation… disrespecting his NBA contemporaries, Bronny has to deal with this while he develops his game.” This caught former Phoenix Suns veteran Eddie Johnson’s eyes, and he did not hold back. 

Johnson replied in support of James, “Why are you worried about a kid that loves the game and has done quite well navigating the hardship of a health scare and dealing with the popularity of a dad that loves him and has set him up financially for him and his family after. Go do you couch potato. Raise your family!”

However, a few fans were still battling with Johnson on X. 

Is LeBron James’s fantasy putting a lot of pressure on Bronny? 

The 39-year-old wants to play with his son howsoever before he retires. He doesn’t have a lot of time left on his clock, sadly. The only way they can team up in the NBA is if Bronny escalates his game in a short span and that is exactly what the 4-time champion is rooting for. As mentioned above, there is a lot of pressure on Bronny and he has a long way to go. Not everyone can enter the NBA at just 18 years of age like the King.

Also, USC’s performance this season has been concerning. Bronny finished the game against Arizona with 7 points and a loss, which has put USC on a 7-game losing streak now. They are at the bottom of the table and playoffs are a long shot right now.
