When a celebrity needs a little tweak, they fly to Florida to see Dr. Zev Mellman. Shaquille O’Neal is no different. He was back on the chiropractor’s table recently for some adjustments. But as is always the case with the 7’1″ giant, everything has to be scaled to size. Dr. Zev had to get some extra resources to help the big man.

Shaq must have some influence on his doctor too. Because the chiropractor seized the opportunity to turn the appointment into a commercial for Big Diesel’s signature dish.

Dr. Zev Mellman has been sought by celebrities across all fields, like music mogul DJ Khaled and NFL star, Antonio Brown. His biggest (quite literally) client is Shaquille O’Neal. The NBA legend paid him a visit recently. So the doc gave a glimpse of how the session went.

Working the knots out of the giant can’t be easy. So Dr. Zev needed an extra tool and inspiration from Papa John’s for Shaq’s adjustment. “Kneading the dough before I adjust Shaq-a-roni @papajohns,” he shared on Instagram with a picture of him giving Shaq the pizza treatment.

In Shaq-a-Roni’s grand return this year, O’Neal shared how the staff at Papa John’s prepares each pie. Making that giant pizza is not easy. So we get Dr Mellman to take notes from the Papa John’s chef to knead O’Neal back into shape. Shaquille O’Neal was on a spree of promoting his signature pizza recently. Dr. Zev probably wanted to support the true purpose behind the Shaq-a-Roni.

The Shaq-a-Roni appears on Papa John’s menu on and off to further O’Neal’s philanthropic pursuits. Earlier, the giant serving’s proceeds went towards eradicating hunger. It raised millions more for children and youth-driven charities, including the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation.

This season’s Shaq-a-Roni sales are supporting Second Harvest, the largest food rescue organization in Canada. Papa John’s was also a scene-stealer at Shaq and his son’s recent event. Shaq has also put the employees of Papa John’s front and center through his ads.
