Imagine meeting Michael Jordan, but you can’t remember the moment the next day. Australian rugby star Monty Ioane knows the pain of it, better than most people. The 29-year-old got to meet Jordan but was unable to recollect anything the next day because he had “one too many drinks.”

Now, meeting Jordan is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those who have been fortunate enough to experience that, in Ioane’s case, the Chicago Bulls legend approached him to have a conversation which is now, unfortunately, hazy for him.

He recently talked about this crazy experience during an interview with The Straits Times. Ioane said that he was at a nightclub in Paris where he had this encounter. He said, “I was heading to the toilet, I’d had one too many drinks, and this guy started talking to me, I had no idea what he was saying.” From whatever Ioane can recollect, things almost got heated between them as his uncle had to intervene. He said, “My uncle came over because he thought he was trying to cause trouble.” The realization that he had just met Michael Jordan didn’t hit him before it was a bit too late.

“They had a few words, and when we went back to our booth someone asked us how we knew Michael Jordan. Turned out, the guy we were having words with was Jordan”, Ioane added.

It is no surprise that Jordan is a man of exquisite taste. Not only that, he values the brands that he has started and always upholds the principles on which they were founded, even if it means taking the risk of possibly offending someone. You sip that.” Based on the demand from the brand’s owner, Pitbull had to resort to taking his advice. “I did sip it and I got fu**** up”, he added.
