Gilbert Arenas’ girlfriend said yes, even if it’s a fake ring! Agent Zero has a history with engagement rings, having intentionally given a fake one to his ex-wife Laura Govan. After Melli Monaco said yes and made it official on her Instagram handle, many began to remind her of the infamous story of the fake ring. As fans tried to troll the NBA legend for his past actions, Monaco clapped back with the most apt response.

“Real ring fake ring, I don’t care. it’s just a symbol. I would say yes regardless,” Monaco confidently wrote in the comments section to shut down the trolling comments suggesting the ring could be fake. Previously, Arenas had proposed to the mother of his four kids with a diamond ring worth $395,000.

However, the two broke up soon after, leaving Arenas regretting his decision. So, he hatched a plan to mend the relationship with his girlfriend and get back his ring. Once reconciled, he replaced her diamond ring with a fake one costing $10,00o. That didn’t go well. He was sued by Govan when she found out the truth.

However, it was the money he saved from the ring that paid the cost of the legal battle. Arenas himself confirmed the story during his interview with DJ Vlad. But judging from the two lovebirds – Arenas and Monaco’s latest IG posts, it seems we have nothing to worry about.

And even if the ring were to be fake, Monaco has already given her answer. Sharing a close-up look at her diamond ring and a few cute snaps with Arenas on IG, Monaco wrote “Yes.” This was in response to Arenas’ IG post that had left fans curious.

To everyone’s surprise, Arenas announced that he proposed to his girlfriend near the symbol of love, the Eiffel Tower.

The Washington Wizards legend shared a photo of him with his girlfriend on his IG story and wrote, “The Eiffel Tower is Where it happened, She said nothing… I guess i was so nervous, i asked and answered… yes… for her… so I’m technically engaged to myself at the moment… @mellimonaco still waiting…”

Monaco is French, so the Eiffel Tower was a fitting place for the proposal. She also has a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower on her back. The musician and YouTuber previously met the basketball legend through a collaboration. Since then, they have appeared on multiple YouTube video together and seemed to have developed a relationship in the process. Just a month ago, Monaco shared a picture of herself having a good time with Arenas and his kids. Her Instagram post was dedicated to the Washington Wizards star on the occasion of Father’s Day.
