Michael Jordan stans defend the 14x NBA All-Star over Scottie Pippen

In most of their NBA finals, Scottie Pippen outscored MJ in assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals. However, when it came to points per game, Michael Jordan averaged at least 10 points more than Pippen every year, pointed out a fan.

While this fan believes Pippen deserves the ‘6-0’ title, one of them also terms Pippen as a “sidekick”. This is something MJ fans have always termed the Hall of Famer.

Despite outscoring Jordan in some crucial defensive stats like blocks, steals, and rebounds, this netizen does not want to put Scottie Pippen in the same conversation as their GOAT. A fan believes stats alone cannot put someone in the same conversation, deeming him 2nd best.

Although there was a difference in all the above-mentioned stats, it was minimal. Scottie Pippen mostly had the upper edge by just a few steals, assists, or rebounds. Well, those efforts were generalized as a fan said, ”Every star has help“.

Stats may or may not lie, but Finals MVP do not. The fans circled back to the most important and defining accolade of Michael Jordan’s career to put an end to Johnson’s comparison.

The fans have shared their take. While Eddie Johnson tried his best to showcase his thoughts, clearly, it did not work. MJ fans severely outnumbered the Scottie Pippen supporters in the comments section. While MJ is regarded with an elite status, does the 7x NBA All-Star hold a spot in the same debate?
