It appears that ex-Denver Nuggets players and coach George Karl have reignited their longstanding feud once again. What started with Carmelo Anthony revisiting his first interaction with Karl back in 2005 has now escalated into Kenyon Martin throwing down slurs against the 2013 Coach of the Year. While the clash between Melo and Karl was taking a subtle path to some extent, K-Mart left no stone unturned roasting Karl.

The ex-Nuggets player recently appeared in a podcast with Gilbert Arenas, where he said, “First and foremost, f**k George Carl. F**k him and the horse he rolled in on. If we had a different coach, we win a championship.” The 1x All-Star went to the extent of claiming that Karl added no value as a coach or as a person to what he and his teammates did. “You walked through the locker room and not speaking to people and think people suppose to kiss your a**. And you ain’t did sh*t as a coach,” Martin said.

He further termed his former coach as a horrible person. “God don’t like ugly, bro. And you ugly as sh*t on the inside…,” he said. The feud between the two sides has now dragged on for years. This time it started with Carmelo Anthony’s recollection of his time in Denver with Karl. Melo, in a recent episode of ‘7PM in Brooklyn‘ podcast said that Karl called him “overrated”.

The 72-year-old responded on X stating, Hey @carmeloanthony let’s not do this. You’re telling stories that are 20 years old. Let’s move fwd.” However, he did not hold back from taking another shot at Melo in the same post mentioning, “And u were overrated and u wish your game was as efficient as Detlef’s.” Karl further took a dig at Melo while extending a birthday wish to Nikola Jokic.

“Happy bday to the champ, the ultimate team guy and the greatest player to wear #15 in Denver hoops history,” he posted on X while tagging Anthony as well. The attacks on Melo did not apparently go down well with Kenyon, leading to scathing remarks on his ex-coach and the subsequent slurs. However, this is not the first time that Martin has been so raw about his opinion of Karl

George Karl’s memoir incident

Back in 2016, when the former Nuggets coach was all set to release a memoir, the excerpts that were released did not paint a flattering picture of Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, and Kenyon Martin. As per an article in the New York Post, Karl compared his former Nuggets stars to “the spoiled brats you see in junior golf and junior tennis.

Karl did not even hold back from commenting on the absence of a father from Anthony’s and Martin’s lives. “Kenyon and Carmelo carried two big burdens: all that money and no father to show them how to act like a man.” Fumed by the excerpts that came out, Kenyon went on a rampage against Karl in a series of tweets.

Martin had responded to Karl’s “absence of father” comments as well. Years have passed now and the dispute continues. Do you think there will be any end to this? Let us know in the comments below.
