Dwyane Wade has invested a lot of time and money towards business. After retirement, the Miami Heat legend has stayed relevant to the game by purchasing ownership stake not only in the NBA but also in the WNBA. Now, the 41-year-old decided to show some love to another worldwide business of his. ‘Way of Wade’, the 3-time champion’s famous sneaker line is a sensation not just in the States but in Shanghai as well. In fact, it looks like Wade’s sneaker has more fame in China than in America. 

D-Wade, who was on a promotional run in Shanghai, made it even more special by pulling up with his son and a Los Angeles Lakers star on his side. Well, looks like the “lefty duo” have ice in their veins!

With many teaming up with Nike, Air Jordan, Puma, etc. a few NBA athletes decided to take a unique path. Wade signed a deal with Li-Ning more than a decade ago and a few superstars have followed Wade to the Chinese company. Miami superstar Jimmy Butler is now the face of Li-Ning alongside Wade. However, let’s not forget Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell who signed with Wade back in 2019. The 27-year-old star found his way back into the Lakers and has been drilling threes ever since. This time he decided to put on a show in Shanghai along with 21-year-old Zaire Wade. 

In a video released on Instagram, Russell was questioned, “You excited to play with Z(Zaire Wade) in the upcoming game?” The veteran 3-point shooter replied, “Yessir, Yessir. Hopefully he can get it through, he can get it done for us. We need the fifty ball. We need some Kobe (Bryant) action.”

Well, Zaire did ball out. The two left-handers teamed up as Zaire added in the comments, “Lefty duo crazy.”

A promising year for D’Angelo Russell? 

Russell was drafted onto a Lakers team that was overseeing Kobe Bryant‘s last few seasons. The #2 pick in the 2015 draft received mentorship from The Black Mamba.

Nearly a decade after his first stint in the city of Angels, Dlo returned to play with another all-time great in LeBron James. Even with such pressure, Russell put on a show for his team during playoffs last season. 

His performance helped him re-sign with the LA unit. Now, he is the starting point guard for the team. Moreover, with a shoe contract on the side, things are on the right track for D-Lo.
